Samet Zili, owner of Hairbysam informs about the hair colour trends of 2021.

This London based hairstylist Samet Zili has been making waves with his trendsetting styles, here he throws light on what’s catching up this year.

With the onset of festivities starts the urge to keep up with your looks, especially hairstyles with people queuing up to the chickest hair salon in town. With the ongoing hair trends catching up many want to change their physical appearance transforming the way they appear, and colouring the hair tops all as it helps one look completely different. There are various hair colour trends that have been predicted to hit it right in 2021. According to hair expert Samet Zili, who owns Hairbysam, there are limitless possibilities when it comes to colouring hair which are low maintenance and at the same time look extremely attractive.

Here’s a list of the latest colouring trends which are a hit this year, which Samet has explained in detail:

Alpine Ice:

This icy shade is developed by using foilyage or balayage while keeping minimal dimension at the root with full saturation of blonde through the ends. A toner helps achieve this ash blonde, when blue shampoo is used on a daily basis. According to Samet, toning plays an important role here as it ensures minimal damage by overlapping lightener.

Mushroom Blonde:

The multi-tonal hair color amalgamates shades of light brown, beige, and gray with an overall ashy tone, exactly like a mushroom. “it’s one of the best ways for blondes to darken for the season,” says Hairbysam .

Low maintenance platinum:

It’s a new and updated version of platinum blonde that begins with darker blonde roots and ends into bright colours that you prefer.

Rouge:

This amazing shade of red is again in trend after making its appearance in The Queen’s Gambit. This sophisticated color is deeper than a copper red, but lighter than auburn. One needs to follow up with the maintenance with touch-ups every four to six weeks to avoid fading. Hairbysam suggests keeping this as a single process, as adding multiple highlights would lower the impact it creates.
