Jason Lee, a successful entrepreneur and founder of a commercial real estate brokerage in San Diego, is on a mission to help people achieve financial and time freedom through his passion for real estate.
Jason’s journey began with a desire to give back to his parents who raised him through tough circumstances. After failing in multiple businesses, including a social media marketing business and an e-commerce business, Jason finally found his calling in real estate. He dove in headfirst and never looked back.
Today, Jason runs a successful commercial real estate brokerage with a team of 11 people (jlmrealestateinc.com). In addition, he and his partner own a large multifamily portfolio in San Diego of over 100 units with no other investors. Jason is passionate about helping others succeed in real estate and has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share.
When asked about the biggest challenges of starting a business, Jason cites limiting beliefs and lack of confidence, lack of knowledge about the best path to take, and analysis paralysis or overthinking as common obstacles. He stresses that taking massive action is the only way to succeed in business.
Jason was inspired to get into the real estate industry after seeing the success of his old mentor and his agents. He credits his success to his mindset, which he believes is the key driver of success or failure in business.
Jason’s advice for those trying to start their own business is to pick something they love and stick with it. He cautions against jumping from niche to niche and stresses that success comes from finding and starting a business you love.
Jason’s day-to-day routine has evolved over the years. Initially, he spent a lot of time analyzing properties and cold calling. Now, his focus is on coaching and managing agents, growing his company, providing real estate education for people, and purchasing properties. You can check out his Youtube channel @jasonjosephlee.
For Jason, success means being able to support the people he loves and having the time to spend with them. He also values giving back to those less fortunate and helping lift them up.
Looking to the future, Jason’s next project is to build his personal brand and reach more people who are looking to achieve financial and time freedom. He hopes to help others find success and create a life they love.
Jason’s biggest obstacle to date has been taking a zero-salary career in real estate sales in college with student debt, but he closed 12 deals and sold over $12,000,000 in 2019. He differentiates himself from the competition by working 12-14 hours a day because he loves what he does, putting clients’ interests first, and utilizing social media to grow his brand.
For Jason, financial freedom is the ultimate goal in life. It means having control over time and never worrying about money. He encourages others to pursue their dreams and find success in their own way.
