Nemanja Golubovic is the founder and owner of Kale My Name, a vegan restaurant franchise that has reached huge success. The popular franchise acquired its notoriety as being 100% plant-based. Kale My Name, in Chicago, opened their doors in April 2020. Initially projecting $200 to $300 daily revenue, within the duration of two years Kale My Name has made over four million dollars in sales. Today, they are recognized as being one of the most successful vegan restaurants in America.
With few resources and opportunities available to him when he first arrived in the United States from Montenegro, Golubovic has worked hard to become a successful business owner to be able to provide healthy eating options by opening his own restaurant. Starting from humble beginnings as a restaurant host, Golubovic has managed to work his way up the restaurant industry ladder by opening Kale My Name.

From The Chicago Reader awarding it Best Vegan Restaurant in the City, to winning the Diner’s Choice Award from Open Table for Most Loved Vegan Restaurant, to numerous awards from VegOut Magazine such as Best Brunch in Chicago and Second Best Brunch in America, this unique establishment has certainly made waves in the restaurant industry. Kale My Name has even been recognized by the North River Commission of Chicago with not one but two awards: Best Social Media Accounts for both 2020 and 2021.
With plans to keep expanding, Nemanja Golubovic doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. “The goal is to open more locations and in ten years I’d like to have at least one location in every state and maybe some international locations. With a goal to bring more plant based options to the entire world, I plan to get there by continuing what we are doing now. Providing excellent customer service and amazing food. We will continue to keep growing and growing,” says Golubovic.
