Sometimes the perfect business partner is right under your nose, quite literally. Eli and Mike have been life partners for over 11 years, and now they’re getting married. Working together just made sense and it shows.
Eli Delgado and Mike Vizcarra are entrepreneurs, but more than that, they are a brand. They’ve marketed themselves as a brand now that they can. As LGBTQ+ representation increases, more people can be themselves not just in everyday life, but in business too. With the shift towards a more accepting society, Eli and Mike can represent themselves as the gay power couple they know they are.
They’re both in real estate and lending. Eli Delgado is the co-owner of the Mortgage guys. Together, Eli Delgado and Mike Vizcarra own M&E Real Estate Services Inc. where they employ 22 other people as part of their expert real estate team. They’re not new to the real estate game either. Combined, they have almost 30 years of experience in the real estate business. Their clients love them. Because Eli and Mike get to be proud of who they are even in their work-life, their business is booming. People relate better to people who are true to themselves.
Eli and Mike want other folks of the LGBTQ+ community to be out in the workplace, too. That’s why they’ve created a mentoring program as well. Their mentoring program caters to those budding entrepreneurs in the LGBTQ+ community. Eli and Mike wanted to ensure that other folks in the queer community get the support they need to excel as entrepreneurs. “[Mindset is] everything. [It] means going up against all types of conflicts, including haters…” said Eli and Mike. This type of mindset is crucial, especially for the LGBTQ+ community in business, where there is constant pushback.
Eli and Mike are familiar with pushback in many different forms. Not only have they had to deal with discrimination, but they also come from poverty which was difficult on its own. They have transcended the bounds of their experiences and have been extremely successful. They are now fathers of two wonderful teenagers, and their success truly speaks for itself.
As Eli and Mike continue on their journey in life and business, they want to hone in on the details of their businesses. Aside from perfecting their brand and gaining Instagram credibility, they said “We are also seeking to expand our brand into the celebrity arena as a unique entrepreneurial field of gay businessmen who are building a new culture.” They sure are building a new culture of businessmen, and the world is so ready for it!
