Anton Giulio Grande: A Stylish Ambassador of Italian Haute Couture and Cinema

Anton Giulio Grande, the founder of his eponymous fashion house at the age of 20, has become a sublime ambassador of elegant, luxurious, spectacular, and sensual fashion. He is now one of the most popular haute couture designers, dressing the most beautiful and famous women in the world. Anton Giulio Grande was born in Lamezia Terme and studied at Polimoda in Florence and FIT in New York, where he received the award for “best student” during the school’s 20th-anniversary celebration. He participated in Piazza di Spagna’s fashion show at the age of 23 and achieved huge success at Milano Collezioni in 2001. He worked for the most prestigious maisones such as Sorelle Fontana before launching his own brand in 1996.

His success is attributed not only to the visibility he has gained from the star system, but also to the quality of his garments. All of his garments are made entirely by hand, relying on the artisanal experience of his land, in laboratories where the sewing machine is not even used. Being from Calabria, he is inevitably associated with the region’s most famous son, Gianni Versace.

Fashion and cinema are two complementary worlds that create a winning combination, triggering a dreamlike mechanism of dream and desire vital for creativity. In his dual role as a stylist and extraordinary Commissioner of the Calabria Film Commission, he continues to follow the teachings of his mentor, the director Franco Zeffirelli.
